The Paris Saint-Germain star is also the fourth youngest player to win the sport’s most coveted prize, while only Pele has scored more goals at the same finals competition before his 20th birthday. The Brazil icon, a champion in 1958, 1962 and 1970, seems to be worried by Mbappe’s progress, as he cheekily congratulated the Frenchman on Sunday....

The project to develop ‘inertial’ sensors, to be worn on upper arm and forearm by the bowlers, is currently in its third and final stage. ICC general manager Geoff Allardice says that the earliest this technology could be used is mid-2015. On Tuesday, Pakistan off-spinner Saeed Ajmal was suspended from bowling in international matches, after tests revealed that all his deliveries broke the rule which doesn’t allow the bowling arm to be straightened by more than 15 degrees....

Rayudu was reported last month following the first match of India’s one-day international series against Australia. The 33-year-old, who has only ever bowled in nine of his 50 ODI appearances for his country, decided not to submit a test of his bowling action within 14 days and has therefore been banned with immediate effect. “The suspension will remain in place until he is tested and can demonstrate he is able to bowl with a legal action,” read an ICC statement....
